ABOUT PETER SHINEN

Peter Shinen is a husband and father who has been working with clients for almost a decade on accounting and tax matters. Notable projects include working to resolve a case with the IRS on a client who had no records going back ten years. I worked with a CPA to get returns filed, get records put together and ultimately reduced a tax bill from the IRS by couple hundred thousand dollars. 

Another notable case was that of a trustee fraud case. The beneficiaries sued the trustee for mishandling the funds and having no bookkeeping records. Records were put together and put in a California court accounting format. Judge complimented on the work, and so did the attorney who contracted Peter. 

And many more cases. 

Peter is an Enrolled Agent (EA) and Certified Value Builder (CVB). Peter has been working with QuickBooks for over a decade now. 

SPECIAL PROFESSIONAL RATES

When working directly with the client, we pay a referral fee of 20% billed to the client. We charge a flat rate, no surprises pricing for our projects. A typical small business starts at $150 per month for cleanup/catchup work (QuickBooks Online). 

All projects get a retainer deposit. When working directly with a firm, we also get a charge authorization if invoice not paid within 15 days.

WHAT'S THE WORKFLOW

When you contact us for a project, here is the following process to getting the project completed quickly. 

1. Get in contact with us and discuss the project
2. We send an engagement letter
3. We get the bank/credit card statements, a copy of manual checks, a copy of any loan documents, etc. We like to use Hubdoc to gather client documents. 
4. We create a backlog of the things needed to complete the project. 
5. Communicate with you on any further information needed and the backlog.
6. Transactions are entered, categorized, reconciled. 
7. Any Unknown transactions exported to Excel/PDF to request more information for a client.
8. Final update and notification of completion.
